Warm-up and Exit Ticket
In this printable warm-up / bell-ringer activity, students will make predictions about why the people of New Spain might have wanted to fight the War for Mexican Independence, which groups were likely fighting, who might have been their allies, what the likely result of the war was.
In this exit ticket, students will identify the two most significant effects of the war out of a list of five options. This is based on the multi-select item type from the new 8th grade Social Studies STAAR test.
The Warm-up and Exit Ticket document includes two warm-ups on the front of the page and two exit tickets on the back of the page. This formatting reduces the number of copies needed, as teachers will cut each printed page in half. Each student will receive a half-page with the warm-up on the front and the exit
