Warm-up & Exit Ticket
In this printable warm-up / bell-ringer activity, students will consider a real-world scenario introducing the concept of what happens when products flood a market. Students are asked to respond with a possible outcome to the situation. This warm-up is meant to assist in student understanding of why prices drop when markets are flooded and the possible effects of this type of economic event.
In this exit ticket, students will create a short definition of the east Texas oil wars and provide at least one cause and one effect of the conflict.
The Warm-up and Exit Ticket document includes two warm-ups on the front of the page and two exit tickets on the back of the page. This formatting reduces the number of copies needed, as teachers will cut each printed page in half. Each student will receive a half-page with the warm-up on the front and the exit on the back.
