Texas History for Teachers is releasing content as it is developed. To receive the latest updates on TX4T material, subscribe to The Portal to Texas History newsletter. You can find our older Resources 4 Educators site here while we make the transition.

About this Site

Texas History for Teachers provides both new and experienced teachers access to unit plans, lessons, and curated primary sources for use in the classroom. TX4T is under active development by a partnership between the UNT History Department, UNT Libraries, and The Portal to Texas History, supplanting Resources 4 Educators.

Guidance is provided by the project’s Pedagogical Advisory Board and Historical Advisory Board, made up of accomplished educators and historians from across the state.

TX4T is made possible through grants and other charitable donations. Those interested in furthering our overall educational mission can contact Co-Director of TX4T, Dreanna Belden, about donating.

As of October 28, 2024 we have released 58 lessons from 4 out of 15 units for evaluation, use, and feedback by the public. Subscribe for updates.

You are free to print, download, use, modify, adapt, or otherwise make use of the materials on this site for non-commercial purposes provided that you credit The Portal to Texas History
